Leadership View

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana is proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with Montanans and to be there when they need us most.

Army Chaplain 1st Lt Brandon Schlecht was unmistakable when he crossed the finish line in the 2016 Governor’s Cup half-marathon on June 11. Running the 13.1 miles to honor military men and women currently serving our country, Schlecht wore his full camouflage fatigues, including boots, helmet and a full rucksack.

Two weeks later in St. Ignatius, Adam Hawkaluk helped wheelbarrow a pile of mulch the size of a hump-backed whale, cut wood for an outdoor classroom and, along with scores of other volunteers, installed new playground equipment at the elementary school where he and his wife work – and where his young children will soon go to school.

Whether it’s organizing and supporting the Governor’s Cup, funding and building a new playground, working with state and federal regulators, employers and citizens of Montana to improve our health care delivery system, or partnering with physicians and hospitals to improve quality and the affordability of care, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana is proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with Montanans and to be there when they need us most.

we continue to do everything in our power to stand with Montanans in sickness and in health.

For more than 76 years, we have been committed to expanding access to health care coverage, even during the most transformative period ever in our industry. No doubt, the past six years in the health insurance industry have been fluid, to say the least, and we expect that to continue.

Overall, it’s been yet another year to celebrate the good work of all of our employees – truly our biggest asset – as we continue to do everything in our power to stand with Montanans in sickness and in health.

On behalf of BCBSMT, we look forward to all that 2017 brings and to the many successes that we are privileged to share with you.
